Writer/Director Christopher Daniels holds an Open Casting Call for his directorial debut with the feature film “HiStory”, currently set to start filming in Metro St. Louis early 2021.
“HiStory” centers on a group of children who find themselves trapped in a room with one simple rule – “Please Pull Lever, Never Push Button”. The children embark on a timeless adventure of inspiration and promise as they quickly realize “Everyone has a Story”.

Ronnie: African American Male, 9-13, Outgoing and adventurous. Time period 1960s
Orpah: African American Female, 15-17, outspoken, very talkative, Time Period 1960s
Minty: African American Female, 12-14, timid, fearful, she finds her voice. Time Period 1830s
Anna: African American Female, 13-17, young historian, close friends with W. E. B. Together, they help the group understand navigate through their journey.
O: African American Male, 14-17, outgoing, popular, jock of the group, doesn’t take no for an answer. Time period 1970s
W. E. B.: African American Male, 14-17, young historian, close friends with Anna. Together, they help the group understand navigate through their journey. Time Period 1870s
Marguerite: African American Female, 12-17, Strong, Fearless, and outgoing personality… Time Period 1930s
Emmett: African American Male, 9-13, Life of the party, quick to make friends and enjoy life. Time period 1950s
J.R.: African American Male, 9-13, slightly quiet, keeps to him self, but opens up as the story progresses. Sad because he feels like he is the only one without a story. Time Period 1930/1940s
Anna Mae: African American Female, 16, troubled teen dealing with recent death of her grandmother, as she moves in with her mother. Time Period 1955
MALES & FEMALES – Any ethnicity, who look to be in their 20s to 50s, to portray Parents, Crop Workers, Officers, Librarians, and Kidnappers.(Possible speaking roles)
Males & Females (Children) – any ethnicity, who look to be in their teens, 11 to 18 years of age, to portray other youth trapped in the room. Dancing experience a plus. (Possible speaking roles)
